I fell in love with outdoor activities since I was in high school. Climbing, trekking, rafting, are just some of my activities. Every weekend meant new adventure whether it’s a walk in the wood or rafting down the river. But as year pass by; my outdoor activities must adjust my body condition.
No, it’s not about the gut, mind me saying. It’s also no about the aching back and the sore foot I’m experiencing now. That, I can bear. It’s the extra companion I have that I couldn’t see suffer. Yes, I travel with my family now. No more tent setting or an emergency bivac to at least shelter my body from the cold forest rain. Not with my 7 years son that’s still hanging on my back, and my wife complaining behind me. Yes, comfort is an issue now.
After a long walk, everyone needs a nice bath and rest to get back in shape. We need a comfortable room not too far away from the trekking site, but willing enough to welcome us with a smile despite our dirty and filthy look. So hotels and motels are not an option. Our best option is bed and breakfast. Familiar enough, but comfortable. Plus affordable price. One of the best is Asheville inn in North Carolina with a beautiful yard and historical house.
Thus, a relief to our sore feet and aching back. Also, because the location is not too far from Asheville, we have access to add our supplies. But, most of all is the excellent service that fascinates us. They have ability to make us feel like home. This is the quality not many place have. Asheville Inn has it all. A true comfort in the wild.
